Refund/Return Policy

At Kooijhome, we want you to be completely delighted with your purchase. If something isn’t quite right, we are here to help you with a straightforward return or exchange process.

1. Return Window
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days from the date of delivery. To be eligible, the item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging with all tags and accessories included.

2. Non-Returnable Items
For health and safety reasons, the following items are final sale and cannot be returned unless damaged or defective upon arrival:

  • Opened or used lamps (including light bulbs and electrical components)

  • Custom-made or personalized items

  • Items marked as "Final Sale"

3. Initiate a Return
To start a return or exchange:

  1. Contact our customer service team at Customer@Kooijhome.com within the return window. Please provide your order number and reason for return.

  2. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed instructions for shipping.

  3. Securely pack the item(s) in the original packaging and include the RMA number inside the package.

4. Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to our error (such as shipping the wrong item) or a defective product. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and retaining proof of postage, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

5. Refunds & Processing Time
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval status. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is a result of our error.

6. Exchanges
If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or product, please follow the return process above and indicate your exchange preference. Exchanges are subject to product availability. Any price difference will be charged or refunded accordingly.

7. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at Customer@Kooijhome.com with photos of the item and packaging. We will arrange a replacement, refund, or store credit at your preference, and cover any associated shipping costs.

8. Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund within 10 business days after approval, please:

  1. Check your bank account or card statement again.

  2. Contact your payment provider, as it may take additional time for the refund to be posted.

  3. If the issue persists, contact us at Customer@Kooijhome.com.

9. Store Credit
You may opt to receive refunds in the form of store credit, which will be issued as a unique code via email. Store credit does not expire and can be used for future purchases on our website.
